Meet the Team
Hansil Shah
Our principal optometrist, who qualified in 2003 after completing his training at Ipswich Hospital, has had a distinguished career in the field of optometry. Initially, he gained invaluable experience working at various opticians, where he developed a comprehensive understanding of how different practices operate. Eventually, he found his true calling in the independent sector. Here, he discovered the freedom to provide superior patient care, free from the sales pressures commonly found in larger chains.
Over the years, he has pursued further professional development, completing his diplomas in glaucoma and medical retina. He is also MECS qualified and holds accreditations for glaucoma refinement, cataract assessments, and post-cataract checks. His expertise extends to myopia control and the management of dry eyes, areas in which he is particularly passionate.
Outside of his professional life, he is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending quality time with his children. He also engages in a variety of hobbies, including playing 7-a-side football, photography, and traveling. These activities help him maintain a well-rounded and fulfilling lifestyle, complementing his commitment to excellence in optometry.
Sarah Radzan
Sarah has been working in optics for over 15 years, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to our practice. She manages the front of the shop, efficiently handling everything from booking appointments to conducting ancillary tests, and assisting patients with their eyewear needs. Her passion for eyewear extends to actively participating in selecting the frame collections we stock.
In addition to her expertise in optics, Sarah has completed a nutrition course and is involved in the new Cardiovascular Pilot Scheme by measuring blood pressure. Her commitment to comprehensive patient care is evident in her continuous pursuit of knowledge and skills.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys staying active with body combat, indulging in reading and wine tasting, and relaxing with a good series on Netflix. Her diverse interests and enthusiasm for both her professional and personal life make her a valued member of our team.
Dr. Ashokkumar Shah
Dr. Ashokkumar Shah is a retired GP who, driven by his passion for patient interaction, joined our team as an optical assistant and lab technician. After acquiring the necessary skills for these roles, he has dedicated his time to ensuring the highest quality service for our patients. His commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail make him an invaluable asset to our team.
In his spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys looking after his grandkids and playing bridge, activities that keep him engaged and fulfilled outside of his professional commitments. His dedication to both his family and his work exemplifies his compassionate and thorough approach to life.
